Dhanashree Verma reveals marriage to Yuzvendra Chahal made work difficult, reflects on divorce: 'I had to travel...'
Dhanashree Verma recently opened up about the challenges of balancing her career and personal life, reflecting on how her marriage to cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal impacted her work. In a chat with Farah Khan on her blog, the dancer and influencer discussed the challenges of balancing her career while being married.
When questioned about whether marriage impacted her career in singing, dancing, and acting, Dhanashree Verma acknowledged that managing work alongside personal life was challenging. She explained that frequent travel between cities like Gurgaon and Mumbai made balancing commitments difficult, but her mother’s guidance taught her to persevere. She added that despite the hurdles, she always gave her full effort.
The couple concluded their four-year marriage earlier this year. Looking back, she said that while her parents were understandably upset, the public’s reaction was more painful. She added that both she and Chahal have accepted the situation gracefully, moved on, and now wish each other well.
She added that she and Chahal have maintained a cordial relationship. She shared that they stay in touch over messages and fondly recalled how he used to call her maa, describing him as sweet.
Recently in another interview, Dhanashree openly addressed a viral moment from their divorce hearing, when Chahal was seen wearing a 'Be Your Own Sugar Daddy' t-shirt. She admitted being taken aback by the choice, questioning why he hadn’t simply sent a message instead. She added that public perception often turned against her, and such gestures only intensified speculation.
