Dev Patel’s last major release was the 2024 action-thriller 'Monkey Man,' which he directed, co-wrote, and starred in. The film marked his directorial debut and told an underdog story set in Mumbai. Dev Patel is currently filming a physically demanding action sequence for his upcoming film 'The Peasant' in the hills of Manali. Reports say the sequence involves intense running and chase elements across the mountainous area. The shoot marks one of the tougher parts of the production, which began in December 2025 and has already covered multiple locations.The Manali schedule focuses on a large-scale action set piece that plays out on uneven, natural terrain. According to Mid Day, “They’ve been rehearsing it like movement through space, running, and chasing.
