Deepika Padukone's fitness trainer reveals a perfect 10-minute pilates routine for the busiest of days; it includes deep breathing, spine articulation, and more
In this fast-paced life, one of the common excuses for skipping a workout is cited as a lack of time. However, the good news is that there is a solution to the time crisis as well. Celebrity fitness trainer Yasmin Karachiwala has a pilates routine for which all one needs to spare is 10 minutes from the busiest of schedules.
Yasmin trains Bollywood’s top stars, including Deepika Padukon,e, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Ananya Panday, and Hrithik Roshan. One of her clients is Helen Khan, a veteran actress and Salim Khan’s wife, and she says she is a pilates girl even in her 80s.
Here’s what all includes:
1 minute of deep breathing,
2 minutes of spine articulation (roll down),
2 minutes of core work (single/double leg stretch),
2 minutes of glute activation (bridge or hip lift),
2 minutes of upper-body stretches (mermaid or seated twist),
and 1 minute of cool-down.
Make sure to perform any workout exercise under professional supervision to avoid any injuries.

In the same conversation, when Yasmin was asked what she found common in Bollywood actresses like Deepika, Alia, and Katrina, he reply was ‘consistency.’
She revealed that, irrespective of how packed their schedules are, these celebrities make sure to show up for themselves and never look for loopholes or quick fixes.
“Consistency. No matter how hectic their schedules are, they show up. They also respect their bodies. They don’t chase quick fixes. Each of them approaches fitness holistically: movement, nutrition, recovery, and mental well-being. That’s what truly sets them apart,” said Yasmin.
