Deepika Padukone, reportedly confirmed for the third season of the acclaimed series ‘The White Lotus,’ may, according to Bollywood Hungama, withdraw from the project due to personal reasons.
The globally celebrated show, which started as a limited series and later evolved into an anthology, garnered significant praise for its first two seasons.
While the first season was set in Maui and the second in Sicily, the upcoming third season is scheduled to be filmed in Thailand. However, recent reports suggest that Deepika Padukone might not join the cast and crew in Thailand later this year due to personal reasons.
However, neither Deepika or anyone from the production had confirmed her role in the first place, hence reports of her opting out of the series cannot be verified as well.
If however confirmed, this decision would mark a change in the ensemble cast, leaving fans curious about the new dynamics the third season would bring without Padukone's anticipated presence.
