Deepika Padukone’s ‘Chhapaak’ is hitting headlines for all the wrong reasons, but this time around there is some relief for the makers. Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Kamal Nath, has stated that the film will be tax free in the state. ’s lawyer Aparna Bhatt took legal action against the makers for omitting her name from the film’s credits. However, according to an IANS report, a Delhi court directed the makers of 'Chhapaak' to give due credit to advocate Aparna Bhatt for her contribution in the making of the film. Director Meghna Gulzar has been instructed to mention the lawyer’s name in the film’s credit roll.

Deepika Padukone will be seen essaying the role of an acid attack survivor in the film which also features Vikrant Massey in a pivotal role.
