Deepika Padukone’s exit from 'Kalki 2' after 'Spirit' has surprised many in the industry. Reports are doing the rounds about what may have gone wrong between her and the makers of the Prabhas starrer. On the work front, Deepika has already confirmed her next films with Allu Arjun and Shah Rukh Khan. At the same time, there’s buzz that she might head back to Hollywood for another XXX film with Vin Diesel.

The 'Om Shanti Om' actress's recent post went viral, and rumors that she might return to the 'XXX' franchise in the female lead. The actress made her Hollywood debut in 'XXX: Return of Xander Cage,' where her chemistry with Vin Diesel was praised. With the next installment set in Mumbai, fans are eagerly wondering if Deepika will reprise her role as the heroine.

Dropped from 'Kalki 2'

The speculation about Padukone’s exit from 'Kalki 2' comes amid reports that the makers decided to drop her due to her demands. According to Bollywood Hungama, Deepika asked for a 25% hike in her fee and a 7-hour work shift. The producers negotiated, but she remained firm.

Further, the report also stated that she travels with a team of 25 people and requested five-star accommodation and food reimbursement for her entourage during the shoot. Despite the makers asking her to reduce the team size, she did not budge on her demands.

'Kalki 2' Exit

According to the Telugu news portal The Aakashavaani, Deepika reportedly asked the makers of 'Kalki 2' to double her fee compared to what she earned for the first part of the film. The report claimed that the hike was so high it left the producers stunned.


Also, the 'Jawan' actress requested luxurious arrangements for her team and a five-hour work shift per day. While the actress hasn’t directly responded to these reports, she indirectly addressed the speculations by announcing that she has begun shooting for Shah Rukh Khan’s 'King.'
