'De De Pyaar De 2' began shooting in Patiala, Punjab, but has been paused due to director Anshul Sharma’s dengue diagnosis. After completing around 7-8 days of filming, the cast and crew were scheduled to continue until mid-October. However, they have now returned to Mumbai.

A report in Bollywood Hungama suggests that once Anshul recovers, the team will plan a Mumbai shoot and resume the Patiala schedule at the earliest based on the actors' availability.

'De De Pyaar De 2' continues the story of Ashish and Ayesha, following their journey after receiving best wishes from Ashish’s family. The couple will take another step in their relationship by meeting Ayesha’s family. Reports suggest that R. Madhavan will play Ayesha’s suave father, who is not convinced about Ashish as his son-in-law, leading to a series of humorous events.

Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh will reprise their roles as Ashish and Ayesha in 'De De Pyaar De 2', and some other cast members from the prequel are also expected to return for this romantic comedy. Produced by T-Series and Luv Films, the film is scheduled for release on May 1, 2025.

In addition to 'De De Pyaar De 2', Ajay has an exciting lineup of projects. He has recently completed shooting for 'Singham Again', an action film featuring a stellar cast, including Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Ranveer Singh, and Akshay Kumar. The movie is set for release during the Diwali 2024 festive season. Ajay has also begun filming 'Son of Sardaar 2', in which he stars alongside Mrunal Thakur. This project was uniquely announced with Punjabi dhol beats and started production in the UK.
