A Delhi's court has sought Delhi Police's response on a plea by a man who alleged that the recently-released movie "Oh My God" has hurt religious sentiments of Hindus.

Complainant Rajender Singh Raja, national general secretary of a social organisation Shivsena Hindustan, filed a complaint against the film's actors Paresh Rawal, Mithun Chakraborty, its director Umesh Shukla and the Central Board of Film Certification. He alleged that the film has several dialogues and scenes which are objectionable and hurt the sentiments of Hindus.
The dialogues have been spoken against the gods and goddesses of Hindu religion, the petition said.
"This act is illegal and irresponsible and has hurt the feelings of Hindus and has also insulted the gods and goddesses of Hindus," the complaint said, adding the film shows Rawal, playing the role of an atheist, filing a case against god in a court.
He also alleged that though the film has openly insulted the Hindu religion and its holy book, the CBFC has not removed the objectionable scenes.
"The board has not removed those objectionable scenes and dialogues in the film and gave clearance certificate though this act is illegal," it alleged.
Seeking prosecution against Rawal, Chakraborty, Shukla and the CBFC, he claimed that he had approached the Delhi Police commissioner but no action was taken.
