HYDERABAD: On the eve of the release of controversial movie
Padmaavat, Hyderabad police and its surrounding commissionerates provided security near the theaters on Wednesday.
Also Read: Padmaavat Movie ReviewPolice said on Wednesday that where ever the preview shows were screened, policemen were deployed in large numbers, especially at Prasad’s Imax, Ramakrishna PVR among several other theaters in the city.
It is learnt that people who saw the movie, came out of theaters without any complaints of protests. After violence broke out in Ahmedabad on Tuesday night in connection with the movie , policemen from Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda commissioneates had deployed security personnel at 15 theaters in the city, where the preview screenings were done.
Based on on Wednesday’s experience, police is not anticipating any trouble in the city. Some groups in the city led by BJP MLA Raja Singh gave a call in the past to create trouble at theaters where Padmaavat will be released. Three days ago, at Tivoli theaters, some persons staged a protest.
