“Congratulations, dad. Dr. Pankaj Kapur," Shahid Kapoor, Mira Rajput shower love on the veteran actor as he earns a doctorate

Shahid Kapoor and wife Mira Rajput took to Instagram today to shower love on Pankaj Kapur, who seems to have earned a honorary doctorate. Sharing a picture of the veteran actor dressed in black and gold academic robes, Shahid wrote, “Congratulations, dad. Dr. Pankaj Kapur". Mira Rajput also echoed similar sentiments on social media. Shahid recently returned from the Chandigarh schedule of ‘Jersey’. Dedicated to work, the actor celebrated his birthday while shooting for the film. Mira Rajput, Pankaj Kapur and several close friends of the couple had joined the celebration hosted in Chandigarh last week. The father-son duo will be seen sharing the frame in ‘Jersey’. This sports drama is the Hindi remake of Telugu hit by the same name. Gowtam Tinnanuri is calling the shots for the Bollywood remake, he had also directed the original ‘Jersey’. Shahid will be seen essaying the role of a cricketer in this film, which is scheduled to hit the screens in August.
