Comeback actresses in Bollywood

With Sridevi all set to make her return to the big screen, we trace some other actresses who took a break post marriage and made a comeback
Sridevi- This actress ruled the big screen in the 1980s and 90s and won several awards for her films. Sridevi’s big break was her role in K Balachander's Moondru Mudichu, where she worked with South stars Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan.She also did a spate of Telugu films, before making her mark in Bollywood. The beauty starred in Himmatwala, Jaanbaaz, Ghar Sansar, the ever popular Mr India, and Chandni. However, she married producer Boney Kapoor in 1996, acted in Judaai and then disappeared from the limelight for a while. She spent time raising her two daughters, Jhanvi and Khushi and is now all set to return in Gauri Shinde's film English Vinglish.
Kajol - Kajol was known as one of the leading actresses in the 90s. Her debut was in Bekhudi, followed by her role in Baazigar where she starred with Shah Rukh Khan and won over many fans. Her natural acting talent was quickly recognised and she has a number of hits like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham to her credit. She then married actor Ajay Devgn and they have a daughter Nysa together as well as one-year-old son Yug. Kajol disappeared for five years between 2001-2006 and then returned to star in Kunal Kohli's Fanaa opposite Aamir Khan. She also starred in My Name Is Khan last year.
Madhuri Dixit - She was one of the most loved actresses. Madhuri made a mark not just for acting but her great dancing skills and her grace. She shot to fame with a song in Tezaab, followed by other good films like Ram Lakhan, Dil, Saajan and Hum Aaapke Hain Kaun. The actress received many best actress awards as well. In 1999, she married Dr Shriram Nene and moved to the U.S. She soon had two sons with him and only returned to the Indian screen in 2006 to star in Aaja Nachle.
Raveena Tandon - A former model, Raveena made her film debut with Patthar Ke Phool in 1991. This was followed by other commercial hits like Mohra, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi and Ziddi. Raveena proved her acting skills in Kalpana Lajmi's Daman: A Victim of Marital Violence (2001). Earlier involved with actor Akshay Tandon, she married film distributor Anil Thadani in 2006 and has two children with him. The actress took a long break from films and is now said to return in the film Bbudah Hoga Teraa Baap.
Bhagyashree - The beautiful actress shot to fame for her role in Maine Pyaar Kiya in which she starred opposite Salman Khan in 1989. Later, she acted in flicks like Tyagi and Payal. The actress married Himalaya and even acted with him in one film that bombed at the box office. Bhagyashree took time off to raise her two kids Avantika and Abhimanyu and made a return last year with the film Red Alert.
