'Cocktail 2' budget revealed: Shahid Kapoor-Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna film costs Rs 150 crore

'Cocktail 2' has been creating strong discussion online ever since promotional content from the film started gaining attention. The visuals, music and overall presentation have generated curiosity among viewers. The romantic entertainer is directed by Homi Adajania and stars Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. With its theatrical release date approaching, the project has emerged as one of the closely watched releases of the month.

Budget details reportedly surface

Fresh reports from Bollywood Hungama surrounding the film suggest that Cocktail 2 has been mounted on an expensive scale. Industry discussions indicate that the film may be among the costliest romantic comedies made in Hindi cinema. According to the report, "Cocktail 2 is among the most expensive rom-coms of Hindi Cinema. The cost of production of Cocktail 2 is around Rs. 95 crores, in addition to combined actor fees of Rs. 35 crores allotted to Shahid, Kriti and Rashmika," Apart from the production amount and actor remuneration, reports suggest that promotional and publicity expenses have also significantly added to the overall cost of the film. The combined figures are believed to have taken the total estimated investment to nearly Rs 150 crore.

'Cocktail 2' makers reportedly focused on large-scale presentation

Reports also indicate that the production house chose to avoid limitations while developing the project and instead focused on delivering a larger cinematic experience. Same report stated, “Dinesh Vijan is among the few producers in Hindi cinema who doesn’t compromise once he believes in a vision. Cocktail 2 is not being treated as just another romantic comedy; it has been mounted like a big-screen entertainer. At a time when most producers would hesitate to spend Rs. 150 crores on a film in this genre, Dinesh has gone all out on scale, locations, music, styling and presentation. That conviction is what makes Maddock and Dinesh stand apart today.”

Kriti Sanon visits Tirumala temple

Meanwhile, actress Kriti Sanon recently visited the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala. She offered prayers and participated in rituals during her visit. The actress appeared in traditional attire during the temple visit. The appearance came while promotional activities connected to 'Cocktail 2' continue to gather pace. The trailer of 'Cocktail 2' has already introduced viewers to the central story and characters. Shahid Kapoor appears as Kunal, while Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon play Diya and Ally respectively.

'Cocktail 2' is scheduled to reach theatres on June 19.
