The Cine And TV Artistes' Association (CINTAA) had released a statement last week, which said that the action taken on
Tanushree Dutta case back in 2008 is regrettable. The organisation also insisted that a fresh case can be filed and heard if both Nana and Tanushree were willing.
It seems like the body will re-investigate and hear the case as a fresh one.
Amit Behl, Senior Joint Secretary of CINTAA has made a number of revelations about the case including the fact that the organisation intends to re-investigate it and details about Tanushree Dutta’s 5-page long complaint with an FIR.
Behl has reportedly said that the organisation has brought in two top women lawyers as part of the legal team. CINTAA has also asked a detailed explanation from the then committee on what went wrong. Both sides including
Nana Patekar will be heard, as long as Tanushree doesn't revoke the complaint.
