Reflecting on his past, he confessed to being a casanova in his youth, stating, "Bhavana was a good lion tamer and a good circus master. I was a casanova for too long. I got married at 35. I think everybody should go through their life and make their own mistakes. When I met her, within one week, I knew I was going to marry this girl. I don’t know why."

Chunky Panday expressed his liberal views on daughter Ananya Panday's dating life, asserting, "I mean it’s fine. I think she is 25, she is earning more money than I did. She is free to do what she wants. How dare I tell my 25-year-old daughter what to do." “Why? He has ruled it. There was a time when Shah Rukh Khan was giving all those big hits and then Govinda was also giving hits along with him. He has ruled it since like 1991, from say Shola Aur Shabnam till mid-2000s, from there he hasn’t looked back I think. He has had the greatest run,” Panday told Pinkvilla.
