Govinda and Chunky Panday, who worked together in several famous movies, shared a spirited conversation with
Kajol and Twinkle Khanna, filled with humor nostalgia. They also revealed some treasure stories of behind-the-scenes stories from their acting careers.
Chunky's mischievous plan to affect Govinda’s film
During a recent episode of Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle Khanna, Chunky amusingly recalled a mischievous plan he had to disrupt one of Govinda’s successful films. He said, “Ek baar Govinda ki picture release hui thi na, woh hit jane wali thi picture, toh mehne tickets black meh khareed ke aadhe bhau meh beche, taki picture ki report kharab hojaye. (One of his movies was about to be a huge hit, so I bought tickets from the black market and sold them at half price to damage the film’s reputation.)” Twinkle couldn’t help but laugh and playfully called him a ‘jugaadu aadmi’ for his clever antics.
Unexpected fame in Bangladesh
Chunky also revealed a surprising story about how he accidentally became famous in Bangladesh. He explained, “Main plane meh ja raha tha Hong Kong, woh engine trouble hogaya toh woh plane Dhaka meh uthra. Plane land hua toh phir hum airport se nikle and waha mujhe ek producer mila. (I was on my way to Hong Kong when the plane faced engine trouble and landed in Dhaka. After we got off, I met a producer there.)” When Kajol asked for more, he added, “Bola Bangladeshi picture karte hai. Meh bola, chalo, meh Hong Kong se hokar aata hu, and I started my first film. (He invited me to do a Bangladeshi film. I agreed and began shooting my first movie after coming back from Hong Kong).”
