Anurag Kashyap is ready with his next production. Chittagong, which is presented by Anurag Kashyap Films Pvt Ltd and Bohra Bros Production Pvt Ltd, is directed by debutant director and former NASA scientist Bedabrata Pain. The movie is all set to be showcased on the opening night of the
Gandhinagar International Film Festival on August 30 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
The movie is based on true incidents during the British rule in India. The movie talks about a few teenagers, who under the leadership of their school teacher, give the British their first military defeat.
The movie focuses on 14-year old Jhunku Roy, the youngest participant and his journey through tough times. The movie presents an impressive star cast (last seen in
Gangs Of Wasseypur) including
Manoj Bajpayee, Nawazzudin Siddiqui, Raj Kumar Yadav and
Jaideep Ahlawat to name a few. With the music given by famous trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, this movie is all set to bring back patriotism to the big screens.
