Chinese star Zhang Jin to star in 'Pacific Rim 2'
Chinese action star
Steven S DeKnight is directing the project based on the world created by Guillermo del Toro and Travis Beacham. "We are very excited that we have such amazing Chinese talent joining us on 'Pacific Rim' our new story has a strong connection to China and this great Chinese cast will help us bring it to life," said Jack Gao, an executive with Beijing Wanda Cultural Industry Group, which owns Legendary Entertainment.
The film will be released on February 23, 2018 by Universal Pictures around the world with the exception of China.
