Chennai Express crosses 300 cr gross

It seems that SRK’s Chennai Express is unstoppable as now it has created a new record at the box office.
The makers of the film have released an ad stating that Chennai Express crossed 300 crore gross. The film also became the fastest entry in 100 crore club.
SRK-Deepika starrer is also the fourth film to go over 300 crore worldwide after Three Idiots, Ek Tha Tiger and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#ChennaiExpress is almost $ 3.9 million [Rs 24.71 cr] in UAE-GCC as of yesterday. Becomes the HIGHEST grosser there. Will cross $ 4 million.”
Taran Adarsh further tweeted about Chennai Express’ box office collection in India, “#ChennaiExpress Week 1: 156.70 cr. Week 2: 43.85 cr. Week 3 Fri 2.12 cr, Sat 3.61 cr. Grand total: Rs 206.28 cr nett. ATBB. India biz only.”
It seems that the superstar knows the pulse of his audience and has hit the bull’s eye with his marketing skills.
