1x1 polls

Cinemax Sion hosted a special screening of the hockey-based film Chak De on Friday night, and it wasn’t just the stars of the film (although lead actor Shah Rukh Khan was sorely missed; he was promoting the film in London), but also hockey coach Ranjan Negi and assistant coach Deepak Kotian who were present.
While the real hockey team wasn’t present, some of the the ladies from the film’s hockey team made it here.
These included Seema Azmi, Sagarika Ghatge, Anahita Nair, Sandiya Furtado and leading lady Vidya Malavade.
While the girls merrily posed for the cameras, complete with loud cheers and hockey sticks in their hands, Ranjan Negi, on who the film is loosely based, was eager to see the reactions of the public to the film.
In fact, he personally went from screen to screen in the multiplex and stood in a corner, watching the audience’s reactions.
The girls weren’t dressed in their team uniforms, on the other hand, they looked like glam dolls in short skirts and flowing dresses, a far cry from the rough and tough image they portray in the film.
However, their performance was much appreciated, and the gals took in the compliments with smiles on their faces. Chak De, we say!
