Virat Kohli has set Twitter on fire with his unbeaten 82 off 51 balls against Australia; and everyone is going gaga over his spectacular performance ' from cricket legends Brian Lara ('He is just an unbelievable batsman') and Kapil Dev ('Hats off to this genius with a bat') to Bollywood biggies Aamir Khan ('What an innings! Virat SALUTE ! This innings was a combination of a marathon, a chess game, and archery!') and Lata Mangeshkar ('Virat ki main kya tareef karun, woh khud hi tareef hai').

Bollywood celebs, our cricket-crazy country, cricket legends and even the Australian media ' everyone is going gaga over this new God of cricket, but as Lata Mangeshkar said in her tweet, 'Virat ki main kya tareef karun, woh khud hi tareef hai!'
Virat was not the only subject of all the memes and jokes, though. Anushka Sharma, his on and off girlfriend, was also dragged in, with fans thanking her for her 'balidaan' and jokes about the Aussies begging her to take back Virat. The cricketer, however, silenced haters with his tweet shaming those trolling Anushka.
