Sandhya Mridul took a sarcastic dig at the lack of toilet facilities on the Delhi-Dehradun expressway while praising the new route for cutting travel time. The actress shared a video from her journey on Tuesday, saying the road looked impressive and made the drive easier, but travelers still had to deal with the lack of proper restrooms along the way.
Sandhya Mridul on Delhi-Dehradun expressway toilets
According to IANS, Sandhya Mridul posted the video on her social media account while traveling from Delhi to Dehradun. She spoke in a light but sharp tone about the newly built expressway and pointed out that basic public facilities were not ready, despite signboards indicating rest areas.
In the video, Sandhya said, “It’s an amazing, amazing expressway between Delhi and Dehradun. I mean it’s really cut down the driving time, it’s stunning, it’s just so convenient.”
She then added a sarcastic line about the lack of toilets on the long route. “I’m so happy that I carry my own pot, because there’s no toilets on the way.”
The actress also mocked the route's planning. She said the signboards mention rest areas, but travelers cannot yet use the proper facilities. Continuing her dig, Sandhya said, “Amazing planning, amazing expressway. Just carry your own pots and all will be well.”
Sandhya Mridul’s social media remark
Sandhya has often addressed social issues in her public posts. A few months ago, she commented on air quality levels when several citizens across states raised concerns over pollution and AQI readings.
In that video, she asked people not to overreact and used sarcasm again to make her point. She said, “Stop overreacting and please relax. It's not lung cancer causing AQI or whatever. It's just some respiratory disease that you are going to get. So it's all okay. Enjoy the weather.”
On the work front, Sandhya Mridul has been part of the film industry for more than two decades. She appeared in 'Saathiya' with Rani Mukerji and also earned recognition through the television show 'Swabhimaan', which became a major hit and showcased her acting skills.
