Carry on, Kamalika

She did her share of kitchen politics as Gayatri of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Now, Kamalika Guha Thakurta will don the greasepaint again ��� for a Bengali film. The talented actor will play the protagonist���s sister in Arindam Nandy���s next.
It���s just a cameo. Arindam came to Mumbai and showed me the script. At first, I was a little confused about whether I should take it up, because it was a small role and besides, I would be doing a Bengali film after 16 years post Padma Nadir Majhi.But later, I realised that the role is integral to the film, so I went by my instincts,��� Kamalika reveals.
But it seems ���Gayatri��� won���t desert Kamalika anytime soon. Because that���s the name of the character she is playing in Kasturi, a serial that is currently on air. ���This is a positive role, though,��� she says. Well, we say, Kissi Ki Nazar Na Lage! After all, that���s what her other serial is called. ���I play Sailaja. The backdrop is a traditional Bengali family,��� she says. Kamalika is also donning a comic hat for an English play, Carry On at the Keyhole. Well, this is one star who sure knows how to carry on with her good work!
