Producers of 'Goal' have strongly recommended John's name while casting for David Dhawan’s comic caper, 'Hook Ya Crook'.

The production house strongly recommended his name while casting for David Dhawan���s comic caper, Hook Ya Crook. The story goes that David was keen on roping in Sanjay Dutt followed by Siddharth (of Rang De Basanti fame) for the lead role.
However, his plans went for a toss when both Sanjay and Siddharth could not give dates for the film, which starts rolling in October this year.
Set in a maximum security prison, the film tells the story of a jailbird. Written by Rensil D���silva (who had written Rang De Basanti), the script has been kept under wraps and the makers are presently finalising the rest of the cast members. John starts shooting for the film only after he completes Karan Johar���s production Dostana.
