#ByeBye2020 Amruta Khanvilkar: 2020 was a year of performers

Year 2020 saw a host of names surfacing on the marquee this year. Pratik Gandhi, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Janhvi Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Priyanshu Painyuli, Neena Gupta, Niharika Lyra Dutt and Vikrant Massey are being counted among the most bankable names in the business today, especially in the OTT space. Amruta Khanvilkar, who had a mainstream release like Malang, has experienced the best of just about every medium available to an artiste.
When asked which performances have stayed on top of her mind this year, Amruta, who was seen in a pivotal role in Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi (starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal), says, “Shefali Shah tops my list. She has always been a brilliant performer, and with every film and show, she’s just getting better...she’s the human equivalent of wine for me. I loved her performance in Delhi Crime. When I see her on the screen, I can’t focus my attention on anyone else. Another performer for me is Shriya Pilgaonkar. She’s versatile. Like her role in Mirzapur where she was a demure girl and a strong-headed girl in the same breath. I also love Ali Fazal for the kind of roles he picks. Pankaj Tripathi and Vikrant Massey are also on my list for a host of roles including their turns in Criminal Justice. I think 2020 was a year of performers. We saw just so many of them.”
