Jagan Shakti, who has previously assisted filmmaker R Balki on various films since his debut with Cheeni Kum, and who made his Bollywood directorial debut with
Akshay Kumar’s
Mission Mangal
in August 2019, has been hospitalised for the last 24 hours and his condition is said to be critical. According to sources close to the filmmaker, he has been diagnosed with a clot in his brain, and detailed diagnosis is being conducted by a team of doctors at a suburban hospital after which the situation will be assessed.
Jagan’s family has also rushed to Mumbai and his cousins and siblings are rallying around him at the moment. Apparently Jagan was socialising with friends in Mumbai when he suddenly collapsed and was rushed to the hospital where he was diagnosed with the clot. After Mission Mangal, which narrated the story behind India’s Mars Orbiter Mission, he was reportedly in talks with Akshay to start work on another project, the remake of the 2014 Tamil movie, Kaththi, tentatively titled Ikka.
