'Border 2': Sunny Deol celebrates release; amid delay and cancellation buzz actor says 'No worries, no stress' - WATCH

Amid buzz about 'Border 2' facing delays leading to “cancellations of shows”, leading man Sunny Deol has seemingly put all the rumours to rest with his latest social media post on the day of the film’s release.

Taking to his handle on Friday morning, ahead of the theatrical release of 'Border 2', Deol shared a behind-the-scenes video offering a glimpse of light-hearted moments from banter, food breaks, blood pressure checks and some comical moments with the crew.

Deol’s post came amid speculation on social media and various news reports suggesting that early shows of the war drama could be delayed or cancelled due to alleged 'technical issues' pertaining to the distribution of the film. News portals reported that distributors and exhibitors across the country were awaiting the film’s digital delivery with less than 10 hours to go before its scheduled screening. This reportedly gave way to concerns about the early morning screenings.

About the 'Border 2' delay buzz

According to a report by Film Information, the digital delivery platforms, including UFO Moviez, had informed distributors and theatre owners that the downloading process of the film might face some delays. The report further stated that UFO Moviez had sent out a message informing exhibitors that the downloads would begin only on the morning of the release day.

The message reportedly read, “Dear all, download of Border 2 will start at 6.30 am tentatively on 23 January, 2026. Please keep the system ON. Thanks. UFO MOVIEZ.”

However, Box Office Worldwide dismissed the reports, and stated that the film was expected to run as per schedule. The trade portal confirmed that the press show of 'Border 2' was slated for 9:15 am at a multiplex in Juhu.

The film was passed by the CBFC with a U/A 13+ certificate with a total runtime of 199.07 minutes. In other words, the film will be 3 hours, 19 minutes and 7 seconds long.
