Amid the growing excitement around the war drama, the actor recently hosted a fun question-and-answer session on X (formerly Twitter) under the hashtag #VarunSays, where he responded to several fan queries, including what he learnt from working with Sunny Deol.One fan praised Varun’s performance and asked what he had learnt from Sunny Deol. For Varun, observing how Sunny Deol approaches his craft served as a reminder to stay grounded. Speaking about its emotional depth, the actor said, “It’s based on the 1971 war, and that, as we all know, was a war filled with a lot of casualties on both sides. There were a lot of sacrifices made by our soldiers to win, so some amazing stories.”The film revisits the Battle of Longewala from the 1971 India-Pakistan war. Beyond the battlefield, Border 2 also explores multiple perspectives, including those of the Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force.'Border 2' features a large ensemble cast. Alongside Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan, the film stars Ahaan Shetty, Diljit Dosanjh, Mona Singh and Paramvir Singh Cheema, among others.
