Boney Kapoor reveals Sridevi was concerned about his weight gain and hair loss: 'When I met you you were slim and trim'

Boney Kapoor's hair transplant and transformation is the talk of the town. He's worked on himself and looks quite different and in a recent interview, he revealed what motivated him to do so. The producer recalled how his late wife Sridevi constantly was telling him to lose weight.

Talking to ABP, Boney said, “I was remembering what my wife (Sridevi) had told me. She had said that if you want to do something with your hair, then first lose weight. So I lost weight,” he said. The producer decided to lose weight only recently when he turned actor for 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar'. The film starred Ranbir Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and starred Boney as Ranbir's father while Dimple Kapadia played his mother. Talking about it, Boney said, "I would feel that everything is fine in that frame except me. I looked like lala ji in that frame. I wanted to get rid of the lala ji look."


He further added how Sridevi would tell him to be fit and lose weight. Boney revealed, "She would say, ‘When I met you, you were slim and trim, tall and good looking and now you have just…’ and I would tell her, ‘After I got you in my life, what more can I ask for? If I become slim and trim then a lot of females would be attracted to me, and I don’t want that to happen.’ And she would say, ‘Yes, yes.'”

Hence, Boney's transformation now is a tribute to her. In the same interview, the producer said that he's still in love with Sridevi and while he does get attracted to other females, his love for her will never go and he never ever cheated on her.
