Shree 420

and Mughal-e-Azam. Boney feels that these films are a classic. Giving reasons on why he enjoys watching them he says, “Shree 420 is a masterful take on the class disparity of that time, laced with humor, but giving a strong message of ethics and love over greed to the India that existed at that time. Raj Kapoor and Nargis’ chemistry with superb music was a treat then and will remain as long as cinema exists. This is easily his best work amongst the many other great cinematic gems he created in my opinion.” Talking about the latter, he adds, “Mughal-e-Azam is indeed a colossal of a movie. Of course the storytelling is adept and the music is unforgettable and deep, but what amazes me is the vision and the scale with which this movie was made. While today we have exposure to many larger-than-life films, do remember that this film commenced in the early 1950s and released in 1960. We neither had the technology nor the money at that time and yet this film achieved the heights that it did. The release of the colour version, further enhanced the grandeur and the spell-binding appeal to the present day cinema lovers.”
