He’s known to play any role given to him with elan, impressing both audiences as well as critics. Boman Irani has had a fairly successful innings in Bollywood and from the looks of it, things are only going to get better. The talented actor will soon be seen in a quirky comedy titled ‘Made in China’, which is being produced by Dinesh Vijan. In the past, the two had teamed up for ‘Being Cyrus’ and ‘Cocktail’.

Boman plays a doctor in the film, which is touted to be a funny take on a Gujarati businessman, who is struggling to make ends meet and strange journey he undergoes in order to become a thriving entrepreneur.
While Rajkummar Rao plays the lead role of a struggling businessman, the role of his beautiful wife is played by Mouni Roy, who makes him go on a trip to China, hoping that it turns their fortunes around.
Reports say that Boman almost didn’t sign the dotted line for the film after suffering from a painful slipped disc and being advised complete bed rest. However, Dinesh convinced him to meet some medical experts, who helped the senior actor get back on his feet in no time. At the same time, Boman also discussed his role with director Mikhil Musale, in order to understand what was needed of him.
Dinesh says that Boman was the unanimous choice for the film, with the entire team hoping only he does the role. He adds that in spite of some initial hiccups, they were glad to have Boman on board. The actor will commence shooting his role in Ahmedabad in the coming days and is happy to work with Rajkummar Rao.
