Boman Irani denies Subrata Roy biopic, says he is concentrating on directorial debut

Boman Irani celebrated his 64th birthday recently and soon talks began that he will do a biopic on the life of Sahara Supremo Subrata Roy. But during his conversation with Hindustan Times, the actor denied the news saying he’s never heard of any such thing.Infact the actor went on to reveal that he has on purpose kept himself away from many acting assignments as he solely wants to focus on his directorial debut, and not have any distractions. He shared that he is not only directing, but also writing, producing and acting in the project.Boman Irani also went on to share that the atmosphere in his household is currently only about films as his two sons Kayoze and Danesh are also busy with their films. He shared that Kayoze is busy with his debut films which is being produced by Karan Johar and is the debut vehicle of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s son Ibrahim and it also stars Kajol, while Danesh, who also works with Dharma, is busy with many production jobs. The senior actor mentioned that all three of them engage in a lot of discussions about filmmaking, give each other advice and also get into debates.This year is also special for Boman Irani, as his film Munna Bhai MBBS completed 20 years. The actor revealed that when he received the narration of the film in a nutshell, he didn’t really understand it. But then he met Rajkumar Hirani and spoke to him, who told him about the entire story. He added that he still remembers every day of the film's shooting and till now not a single day goes by when someone doesn’t tap on his shoulder to talk about the film.
