While Shah Rukh Khan was engrossed in watching Yash Chopra's "Lamhe" at a cinema alongside his friend Vivek Vaswani, an unexpected interruption occurred. Halfway through the film, his secretary arrived with the news that Mr. Chopra was contemplating casting him in a movie. Without hesitation, Shah Rukh Khan promptly left the screening of "Lamhe" and headed to Mr. Chopra's office. As fate would have it, he not only responded to the unexpected call but also successfully secured a role in the movie, which turned out to be Darr.

Initial earning
Shah Rukh Khan's initial earnings amounted to ₹50, earned through his role as an usher at a Pankaj Udhas concert in Delhi. Putting this hard-earned money to meaningful use, he chose to take a train journey to Agra, fulfilling a desire to witness the awe-inspiring beauty of the Taj Mahal.
