Amitabh Bachchan has fun playing ghost on the sets of Ravi Chopra’s next film.
Bogeyman B!
doweshowbellyad=0; Amitabh Bachchan. More picsLong nails, ruffled hair, termite-eaten jacket, unkempt appearance... Amitabh Bachchan, that actor par excellence, seems to have travelled to hell and back for his bogeyman look in Ravi Chopras next production, Bhoothnath.
Bachchan gives credit to director Vivek Sharma. He had a vision, I simply did what was asked of me, Big B said.

Look designer Muneesh Sappel adds, We had several options, Im happy with our choice and the final outcome. And while producer Chopra describes Bhooth Bachchans look as rocking, make-up man Deepak Sawant says that the actor used to take one-and-a-half-hour to get into the ghostly garb, and only 30 minutes to get out of it.
Apparently, the first day of shooting was quite eventful. There were a group of people waiting outside Amitjis van for his autograph, and when he emerged in his get-up, they were stunned and actually took a step back, narrates director Sharma. He then tried to scare Juhi and everyone else on the sets, too. It was fun. There were screams and lots of laughter. Amitji was extremely co-operative. Not once did he complain.
The ghostly experience was anything but ghastly for Bachchan. It was deadly, literally and figuratively speaking. I enjoyed myself, he says. The film, however, isnt one from the horror genre. Kids are going to love it as much as their parents, explains Chopra. Bachchan, in the course of the film, metamorphoses into a good soul. So lets toast to this ghost who is actually a dost!
