Tanuja Mukherjee, who ruled the silver screen in 60s and 70s, turns 81 today. The octogenarian, who has two daughters
Kajol and Tanishaa, is still active on-screen, been seen on OTT shows like Modern Love Mumbai, and others.
Last year, Kajol had spoken about her bond with her mother and revealed that she does not watch too many of her movies. While talking to Film Companion, she said, "I have not watched too many of my mother’s films. Because I feel so much for her that I’m never able to separate myself from her. And when she cries on screen, I just sit and I bawl. So I have no objectivity where she’s concerned. She just makes me howl. And I think my children feel the same way about me when they see me on screen. So they can’t watch either.”
On Daughters' Day yesterday, Bollywood actress Kajol took to social media to celebrate the special bond she shares with her family. The actress posted heartwarming pictures featuring her mother, veteran actress Tanuja, her sister Tanisha Mukherji, and her daughter Nysa.
Kajol shared happy pictures on Instagram that show her affection towards the women of her family. The photos seem to be from a festive occasion, with all the women in traditional outfits.
Sharing the photos, the actress captioned, "Happy daughters day to all these gorgeous girls .. and off course my diva, and to all those I know and those I don’t .. we don’t need a day to celebrate that we are daughters but it sure feels good.. and all we need is a chance to eat cake anyways ;) #tanuja #happydaughtersday".
Ajay and Kajol got married in 1999 and have two children: Nysa, born in 2003, and Yug, born in 2010.
On the work front, Kajol is set to appear in 'Maharani - Queen of Queens', reuniting with Prabhudeva after 27 years. Additionally, she has 'Do Patti' alongside Kriti Sanon.
