Ram jaane kaise pal mein badal jaate hain (Badalte Rishte): The title song of the Rishi Kapoor-Reena Roy-Jeetendra starrer Badalte Rishte … Suman Kalyanpur shared vocal honours with Mohammed Rafi and Kishore Kumar and held her own.

Na na karte pyar (Jab Jab Phool Khile): Kalyanji-Anandji’s blockbuster score had Suman Kalyanpur making a place for herself in this solo. Nadeem Shravan much later ripped off the same tune with the same

Aap se humko bichde huey ek zamana beet gaya (Vishwas): Again, Suman Kalyanpur got this song by default when Lataji was unavailable. Again, this became the most popular song in the soundtrack. I had asked composer Kalyanji of (Anandji) fame how this song went to Suman Kalyanpur and he said, “It’s not about how she got it. It’s about what she made of it.” Touche.
