It seems like our celebs had decided to take classes in politeness this year as they fell over themselves apologising to all and sundry. If any of their actions or statements offended even the neighbourhood cat, we never heard an end to the chorus of sorrys.

While good manners are to be applauded, it seemed like the biggest apology was owed to the aam junta, who had to endure the same drama continually through the year. Let��s hope the stars grow a spine in 2009 and stand up for themselves, or sorry, bhai...we��re not listening!
Akshay Kumar �� This khiladi definitely wasn��t a Kinng all through the shooting and release of Singh is Kinng.Vipul Shah had to re-shoot scenes and Akki visited the Rakabganj gurudwara in order to keep all the ��protestors�� happy.

Mandira Bedi �� Tattoos were quite a theme this year with Mandira Bedi getting into trouble with the Akal Takht when she flashed her tattoo of Ek Omkar on the ramp. In fact, she issued two apologies because the first one was unsigned... Perhaps she should have just got a ��sorry�� tattoo instead!

Amitabh Bachchan �� It��s a wonder the Big B wasn��t hospitalised for back problems instead of stomach pain this year, considering the time he spent with bowed head and folded hands, apologising for wife Jaya��s remarks on speaking Hindi at the height of Raj��s anti-migrant campaign in Mumbai.
Saif Ali Khan �� When the local media in Patiala charged the actor with assault during a shoot there, Saif initially denied reports of his involvement. With the brouhaha growing, however, he did a quick about turn and apologised ��for his security staff,�� despite reports that the photogs had got a little too pushy at the location.
