For those who came in late, Big B has already issued a couple of statements regarding the controversy, flatly denying any involvement or association with the offshore companies mentioned in the earlier reports. However, the latest news reports in The Indian Express suggest that Bachchan Sr was one of the directors of the companies and was actively involved in the proceedings of those companies through
telephonic conferences
.

Bachchan had recently issued a statement that read, 'I would humbly request them to kindly direct these to the GOI where I, as a law-abiding citizen have already sent, and shall continue to send my responses.
