As reported earlier, the British Film Institute (BFI) has decided to launch on a celebration of South Asian Cinema, where films from South Asian countries will be screened all over Britain-including a selection of Hindi films.
With the popularity of Hindi films increasing tremendously, the BFI decided to select a well known entity as their guest of honour-someone who would be immensely popular all over Asia.
And who better suitable for the ''role'' than that icon of Hindi cinema-Amitabh Bachchan? A personality whose starry presence transcends even language barriers. Must say, this is going to be one popular celebration!
