Bhumi Pednekar takes the ‘Badhaai Do’ challenge with her ‘mains’

Bhumi Pednekar has shared a fun video on Instagram, recreating the hook step from the title track of her upcoming film 'Badhaai Do'. On a terrace, the actress is snapped shaking a leg with her sister Samiksha Pednekar and a bunch of friends. “Badhaai Do Challenge with my mains,” Bhumi captioned the clip. Her co-star from the film, Rajkummar Rao, praised Bhumi’s moves and commented, “Kya baat hai, Bhumi. Kamaal hai.”

Junglee Pictures' ‘Badhaai Do’ is directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni and is set to hit the screens on February 11. The film also stars Chum Darang, Seema Pahwa, Sheeba Chadha, Lovleen Mishra, Nitish Pandey and Shashi Bhushan in key roles. The film narrates the story of an ‘atrangi wedding’ in a ‘satrangi setting’. ‘Badhaai Do’ is a sequel to 2018 blockbuster hit ‘Badhaai Ho’, which won National Awards for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and Best Supporting Actress.

Speaking about the huge applause that the film’s trailer had received, Bhumi had told BT, “The response to the trailer has been so amazing. I am on cloud nine right now. I have received messages, calls and my DMs are full. I am so happy and so overwhelmed with the response that we have received for the film. It’s the kind of film that should be seen in theatres; it’s a family-viewing experience. It’s a feeling like no other to be able to say that my film is coming out in theatres after two years. I don’t think there could have been a better film than this for me to start my big screen experience again.”
