Diwali is finally here and the whole nation is celebrating the festivity with zeal. The festival of lights is never complete without sweets, and as they say, calories do not count during these times. Looks like Bhumi Pednekar too believes the same! In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Bhumi Pednekar revealed that she indulges in Diwali sweets without counting the calories or feeling guilty.

Bhumi Pednekar mentioned that she typically ensures she is at home for Diwali if she is not on a shoot. She expressed her plans for celebrating this year with her family, including extended family members who have come down from the States. Bhumi conveyed her excitement about being with all her cousins during the festival season, emphasizing that the festivities are continuous from Dusshera to Diwali. She described herself as the most passionate person in her family when it comes to Diwali.

She also divulged that she loves mithaai and Indian food and Diwali is the only time when she can have it guilt free. “So I eat sweets on Diwali without feeling guilty,” she revealed during the interview. She also went on to add that she also indulges in a very elaborate meal is cooked at home, and he favourite dish is Aate ka halwa that her mom makes for prasad. She also shared that the halwa is loaded with ghee and sugar and it just heals her soul.
