Imran Khan, who is set to make his Bollywood comeback with Vir Das’s directorial 'Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos', slated for release on January 16, recently celebrated his birthday with actor Bhumi Pednekar. The two are currently working together on an upcoming, yet-untitled romantic comedy. Marking the occasion, Bhumi shared a heartwarming video from the celebration.

Bhumi Pednekar shared an inside video from Imran Khan’s birthday celebration, giving fans a rare and candid glimpse. The clip shows Imran cutting his cake, surrounded by close friends. Adding a nostalgic touch, Bhumi used Imran’s iconic song Adhoore in the background, reminding audiences of his much-loved rom-com legacy.




Sharing the video, she wrote, “Happy birthday Imran! This one is going to be a special year.” Earlier, she had also referred to him as “one of my most favourite people I discovered in recent times.”

The post quickly created a buzz online, with fans reading it as a sign of strong chemistry—both personal and professional—between the two actors.

Imran Khan will also be seen in 'Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos', which releases on January 16. Director Vir Das recently revealed how Imran came on board the project in the most unexpected way.

Recalling the moment, Vir said, “One day, I got a text from Imran. He doesn’t even use WhatsApp.” He added, “The message said, ‘Hey, I hear the movie is shaping up nicely. Can I come and do something fun in the film?’”

Later, Vir shared a screenshot of their 2024 chat on Instagram and wrote, “True story! We thought of the maddest thing and made Imran do it in #HappyPatel. January 16th, you get to see him, and I can’t wait! This is the actual screenshot from Feb 2024.”



He further revealed that he reworked the script to create a wild, never-seen-before role for Imran.

Bhumi Pednekar will next be seen in the psychological drama 'Daldal', where she essays the role of DCP Rita Ferreira. The project is based on Vish Dhamija’s novel Bhendi Bazaar and will stream on Amazon Prime Video.
