Bhumi Pednekar bags Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next

After her commendable performance in 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha' Bhumi Pednekar is all set to be Bhansali's leading lady.
Earlier, there were reports that Sanjay Leela Bhansali had approached actresses like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra to play Amrita Pritam in the Sahir Ludhianvi biopic, but the latest name doing the rounds is that of Bhumi Pednekar.

Jasmeet Reen, who will be making her directorial debut with the biopic is said to have finalised Bhumi for the role.As for the male lead, there were reports that Irrfan would play poet-lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi, but the buzz is the makers are now looking for a Gen-next actor to play male lead.
