An apology has been demanded by the members of Kalinga Sena from Shah Rukh Khan for insulting Odisha and hurting their sentiments in his 2001 film, Asoka. Thus, SRK who will be attending the 2018's Men's Hockey World Cup in Odisha has been threatened by local outfits saying that they will throw ink at him and also even show black flag, if he visits the city of Bhubaneswar next week.

The Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik has invited Shah Rukh Khan for the inauguration of the 2018 Men’s Hockey World Cup at the Kalinga Stadium on November 27.
Reportedly, the chief member of the Sena has asked for an apology from the 'Zero' actor for hurting the sentiments of Odisha people in the film. Moreover, a rally had also burnt the actor's effigy on November 11. The same group reportedly filed the complaint even in November 2001 against Shah Rukh Khan for portraying the Kalinga war in an incorrect manner.
According to a report in DNA, the Kalinga Sena was quoted as saying that they have made preparation to throw ink on the actor's face and show him black flag at any place from the airport to the stadium. Also their activists will remain present with SRK.
On work front, Shah Rukh Khan is geared up for his upcoming film 'Zero'. The movie also features Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in lead roles and the film slated to release on December 21.
