Bhopal: Judgment reserved on Monica Bedi's passport-related plea

BHOPAL: A single-bench judge of

Madhya Pradesh high court

(MPHC) reserved its judgment on an application moved by actress and former girlfriend of underworld don Abu Salem, Monica Bedi, to allow her to keep passport. The bench of Justice C R Sirporkar is seized of two cases - one suo motu cognizance taken by the high court of her acquittal by the court of chief judicial magistrate in 2007 and a criminal revision plea filed by state government.

The court, had, however, allowed her to have her passport released, which had been confiscated during trial of the fake passport case to travel abroad.
