Did you know Rani Mukerji was the first choice for this iconic movie? However, date issues reportedly forced the actress to turn down the project. Later on, director Ashutosh Gowariker roped in Gracy Singh to play the leading lady opposite Aamir Khan in this 2001 release.

Waqt

Rani Mukerji was offered to play the lead in this family drama, co-starring Akshay Kumar. However, the actress couldn’t be a part of this project and the role eventually went to Priyanka Chopra. Fans were impressed with PeeCee and Akshay’s onscreen chemistry.

Munna Bhai MBBS

Not just ‘Lagaan’, but Gracy Singh also managed to bag this hilarious blockbuster also from Rani Mukerji. The actress was offered to play the role of Chinky aka Dr Suman Asthana, but because of her busy work schedule, Rani had to let go of this Rajkumar Hirani blockbuster.

Vidya Balan delivered an unforgettable performance in this horror drama, but did you know that Rani was the first choice for this Priyadarshan directorial? With Rani stepping out of the project, Vidya Balan was signed up to play Avni.

Heyy Babyy

With this film, it was once again proved that Rani’s loss is Vidya’s gain! This Sajid Khan directorial, starring Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, was initially offered to Rani Mukerji. While she couldn’t do the film, Vidya Balan was roped in to play the mom of a toddler.
