Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra plans a biopic on The Flying Sikh....

Film-maker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is going to launch his most ambitious project, a biographical journey on the sports icon Milkha Singh.
Titled Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, the film will be scripted by Prasoon Joshi.
Covering 75 years of Milkha Singh’s life and his journey across several continents, the film is a big production that will hit the floors next year. While both Rakeysh and Milkha are keeping the details of the project under wraps, a formal announcement will be made by the director in Chandigarh soon.

Milkha, who represented India in the 1960 Olympics in Rome and in Tokyo in 1964, is presently a resident of Chandigarh.
Said Rakeysh, “Milkha’s story is extremely inspiring. He went from a boy who was running to save his life, to an athlete who brought glory and fame for the country. We have spoken to him and he has been extremely helpful with the research and has shared details of his personal life.”
