‘Battle of Bittora’: Sonam Kapoor on a hunt for a male lead to star in her next?

Not letting one unsuccessful film slow her down, Sonam Kapoor is now getting ready to commence work on a project that was long left on the back burner. According to reports doing the rounds, the actress is looking forward to kicking off her ambitious home production ‘The Battle Of Bittora’.

However, reports claim that that the only factor preventing this film from going on floors, is the absence of a leading man. As the film will reportedly be female-centric, the star and her sister Rhea Kapoor are on the lookout for a leading man.

Reports allege that the actress though her ‘Zoya factor’ co-star Dulquer Salmaan would be a good fit for the role, but she had second thoughts as the film tanked at the box office. Some even claim that not many actors would be willing to play second fiddle in the film.

Fawad Khan and Rajkummar Rao were among the names floating around for a while, until reports hinted at Farhan Akhtar possibly stepping in and reuniting with the actress after they paired up for ‘

Sonam announced last year that she had acquired the rights of the novel, 'Battle of Bittora' by Anuja and expressed her desire to commence work on the same in 2019.
