I used to live 5 minutes away from Bappi Lahiri's place. As a kid, when we used to walk past his building, we would get to hear his tabla and singing riyaz. I've had a lifelong association with him and his music. Bappi da is immortal and will always remain immortal for us.
Bappi Da has played an important role in moulding my career. In my initial days, staying in Bombay, he has taken care of almost everything for me.
We've all grown up listening to his songs; Bappi Da has been one of my biggest inspirations.
