Vishal Bhardwaj Films is collaborating with Kyta Productions for 'Pataakha', a film directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and based on a story by Charan Singh Pathik. The trailer has received much praise thanks to the film’s rustic language, dialogues and nuanced performances by
Sunil Grover,
Radhika Madan and
Sanya Malhotra. After the trailer, Vishal and Kyta launched the song 'Balma' at an event this week. The melodious song, which has been picturised in a vivacious manner, has received a positive response from the audience.
“Joining hands with Kyta to produce 'Pataakha' has been a fun and explosive experience.
We have launched our first song 'Balma' and I am glad that viewers are enjoying it,” said Vishal.
Picturised on Radhika and Sanya, Balma has been sung by Rekha Bhardwaj and
Sunidhi Chauhan, with lyrics by
Gulzar and music by Vishal. The film’s producer Ajay Kapoor added, “We all know that apart from being a fine filmmaker, Vishal also has a great ear for music. He has done an amazing job with Balma. With Gulzar
saab’s lyrics and Rekhaji and Sunidhi Chauhan lending their voices, you can definitely expect this one to stay with you for a long time.”
In addition to 'Balma', Vishal recently shot a fun song titled 'Hello Hello' with Malaika Arora. The song’s funky lyrics have been penned by Gulzar and are inspired by today’s popular social media lingo. 'Pataakha' is a comedy-drama about two sisters, Badki and Chhutki, played by Sanya and Radhika, and based on a short story by writer Charan Singh Pathik. It also stars Sunil Grover and Vijay Raaz and will hit screens in September.
