'Badhaai Ho': Celebrating two years of Ayushmann Khurrana, Sanya Malhotra, Neeta Gupta and Gajraj Rao starrer comedy entertainer

and Gajraj Rao came together for a fun entertainer ‘Badhaai Ho’, which hit the screens on October 18, 2018. Celebrating the film’s success, producers Junglee Pictures congratulated the team for #2YearsOfBadhaaiHo.




‘Badhaai Ho’ not just won massive applause but was also honoured with two National Awards. The film won the National award for best popular film providing wholesome entertainment while actress Surekha Sikri also won the award for best supporting actor (female). Directed by Amit Sharma, the film narrated the story of an aging couple, played by Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao, who have to deal with a case of accidental pregnancy. Ayushmann essayed their son in ‘Badhaai Ho’. Speaking about the film completing two years, Ayushmann told IANS, With 'Badhaai Ho', I tried to normalise the sexual desire that our parents can have, and there's nothing wrong in that."

The makers of ‘Badhaai Ho’ have announced a second film in the franchise, titled ‘Badhaai Do’. Starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead, the film is scheduled to go on floors in January 2021.
